More space, No extension
This 1930 s terraced house required refurbishment and adaptation. The living accommodation needed to be enlarged and natural light increased. The house had two chimneys and the solution was to remove a large chimney breast in the rear ground floor, which increased floor space to create an open plan kitchen and dining space overlooking the south west facing garden. An extension was not required in this case.
